Well, i almost finished the book 'Angels and Demons'. Anyone who had read/watched it, would have known that it tackles the issue of the conflict between science and religion.
To say the truth, im pretty shaken after reading that book. Im not really a religious person, and i had always believed in science, being the science-loving guy i was. But when i entered JC, i somewhat make up my mind to tackle the other fields of knowledge other than science. I still can remember the days when i was so damn happy after finding an interesting science book in the library. No doubt, i still have a strong faith in science, and in the quest to discover the universe. However, i do understand the consequences of science improving too fast. Thats probably one reason why i didnt take bio in jc, though i didnt thought of it then. Now, to me, one physics should be enough to satisfy my hunger.
The book, had really shine a new light on my view towards science and religion, no matter how credible it is. The point that the author had written out, be it his crap or reason, really gave me a new insight. Now, can i really believe science and religion can co-exist, as some of my friends would argue, or that science is simply some crap that non-religious people wrote out, or that religion is simply redundant?
I really shouldnt think too much. Doubt this will come out in GP anyway.
On a sidenote, i recommend 'Angels and Demons' to all of you. Its a great book, despite the occasional description about rape or sexuality(ok this is dumb).=================================
