I shall not preach in Chinese for today.

Coz a miracle happened. Something that i have never expected.

We got 2nd for the Sepak Takraw Tournament!

You may ask why should we be so happy. After all, HCI won awards like, a daily basis.

BUT,
1. Our team dont even know how to play sepak takraw
2. We learnt ON THE SPOT
3. We didnt manage to learn much

Cant resist giving a detailed story=)

So, firstly, we faced off Temasek Sec in the first round. They were younger than us, but they are all MALAYS(sepak takraw is a malay sport). We won the first set, surprisingly. Coz they kept hitting the net when serving, and i learnt how to serve quite...ok. Then there was Run Ze utilising his soccer skills to reflect the hits.
We lost the second round though. Then at the last round, we were so engrossed that we didnt know that we won!
Final Score: 15-13, 9-15, 10-6

Then its the semi-finals. Actually, we did an analysis. There are four teams in the semis: RI, Pei Hwa, Yusof Ishak and HCI. Pei Hwa n Yusof Ishak team was imba. So if we face them in semis, we will lose, and have to battle for 3rd n 4th placing with definitely RI. With we fight RI in semis and won, we will have secured at least a 2nd. If we lose, we will get 4th, as we have to play with Pei Hwa or Yusof Ishak.

And really, we played with RI=)

Well, we won the game obviously=) Run Ze was really good in this round, and Yuanfeng definitely improved. I must say we learnt real fast. I dunno how i fare, but Yuanfeng told me that there was one save i made at the corner of our area that i smack over, which he described as very fast, and freaked out the RI guys. Cool=)
Dunno final score, juz knew that we won.

Well, we faced off with Pei Hwa at the finals. We dont really want to win, as it was the players from Pei Hwa who taught us how to play. So apparently, we got thrashed=( but i really did badly this game, missing serves and actually doing stupid chapteh stances, wacking cheng-an in the face. Sorry=P
Lost.

But really, i was really surprised we managed to go this far. We went there with a mentality of not getting zero score, and we actually won 2nd placing. That was just...so great.
