Blog Post on 11/06
Today is my unofficial last day of real work at Mediacorp. Wont be there tomorrow, and next monday shld be used to teach the next AP on what to do and so on.
So...i actually miss life here. The sad thing is that, i only started to make frens at the end of my journey, everytime. Its always my downside.
Went to be a photographer at the Bang Bang Tang Concert. Well, like what Hui Mei says, "A photographer needs to be thick-skinned." I forced my way in, and squeezed with the other photographers from other organisations, and ran up the stage to take photos everytime i can.
But what really deters me is not the experience(well, its fun), not the Bang Bang Tang members with super heavy make-up(their dance roxs!), but the fans. My supervisor had already predicted: A large crowd of girls screaming over their idols, "XXXX, i love u!" everywhere. Omg. Being a male singer/idol this days is definitely worth it.
Before they even come up, the fans are already screaming like hell. Some wear special caps with their idols'names on it; some came with banners and loudspeakers. Then the MC(lin pei fen, wow, she's chio) came up and play games. And i was at the media area, snapping photos all the way. Then they came.
Chaos erupted everywhere. Its like the Burning Legion invading Azeroth, except that its joy, instead of fear thats filling the atmosphere. Im like, almost deaf. Really. Im temporary deaf for a moment. Hui mei(another intern in mediacorp) said that she was squeezed by the overwhelming fans, mind, she's carrying the ultra big video cam, yet the fans dont even care. How nice of them.
And yea, i went to view the broadcasting of the 6.30 news. Learnt alot from them. On the difference of writing compo, and writing scripts for news broadcast. And the essence of writing, from one who worked before in the newspaper agency and mediacorp news department. Learnt alot. And haha. I shall not share it wif u all. Haha.
And i realised huimei looks ALOT like jesslyn.=================================
